One of Tasmania's best food experiences, The Agrarian Kitchen is a cookery school that offers paddock-to-plate experiences. Run by former Gourmet Traveller Food Editor Rodney Dunn and his family, this hands-on, farm houses a huge veggie garden, orchard, berry patch, as well as heritage brand pigs and chickens, milking goats, geese and honeybees.
When participating in one of the experiences on offer, you'll head out into the farm to forage and gather whatever is in season, before returning to the beautiful country kitchen to cook up a storm and learn some new skills.
Classes focus on everything from sausauges, tomatoes, chickens, pasta, pastry and beyond.
This is a must-do experience and one you won't forget but be sure to book.
